Thammasat University’s 4th Town Hall Meeting Highlights One Year of Action and Transformation.

Thammasat University held its 4th Town Hall Meeting under the theme “Share to Change: Now and Next TU” on 22 December 2025 at the Puey Ungphakorn Learning Park, Rangsit Campus. The event brought together faculty members and staff from across the University to reflect on collective actions and tangible outcomes achieved over the past year.

The Town Hall served as a key platform for sharing implementation and institutional transformation experiences, linking present achievements with future directions for the University.

The program featured presentations by six Thammasat representatives from different strategic clusters. Among them was Asst. Prof. Dr. Li Liang, a faculty member of the Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University (Rangsit Campus), and the Principal Investigator of the Transdisciplinary Higher Education for Global Well-being (THE-GLOW) project, which is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Capacity Buidling in Higher Education Programme.

THE-GLOW was led by the Global Health Program, Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University, and was implemented in collaboration with five partner institutions: Thammasat University (the leading university), Asian Institute of Technology, Kasetsart University, Heidelberg University, and Maastricht University. The project enabled faculty from the three Thai universities to collaborate in successfully developing and delivering multiple transdisciplinary courses that achieved real transdisciplinary competency development in participating students. In doing so, the project developed a team of future leaders for transdisciplinary education development in each university.

THE-GLOW was selected to represent the Health Sciences Cluster, demonstrating concrete outcomes aligned with the ONE-TU (One Thammasat) principle. ONE-TU emphasizes unity across faculties, disciplines, and institutional missions, encouraging collaboration beyond traditional academic silos to create sustainable societal impact.

Throughout its implementation, THE-GLOW has achieved notable outcomes, including faculty capacity development, the creation of transdisciplinary graduate-level courses, and the establishment of learning communities grounded in the core values of Empathy, Transformation, and Unity—values that strongly reflect Thammasat University’s identity as a university for society.

The 4th Town Hall Meeting marked an important milestone in consolidating lessons learned from action and reaffirming Thammasat University’s shared commitment to shaping its future through collaboration and the ONE-TU spirit.
