The Erasmus+ Cluster Meeting and Contact-Making Seminar, as part of the Regional Erasmus+ Week 2024 for Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East, was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 13-14 November 2024. This event, brought by the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, focused on the theme “Digital in Education”, aligned with the European Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027. The event highlighted how Erasmus+ actions could effectively address global challenges, notably through successful examples of digital transformation in education. By fostering synergies between projects, institutions, and political bodies, the event aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the theme, welcoming participants from all disciplines and backgrounds, regardless of their expertise in digital education. Throughout the event, participants explored initiatives supported by Erasmus+ and engaged in panel discussions that showcased how digital transformation was being addressed within the framework of the EU’s Global Gateway Strategy and the European Education Area. Participants were joined by stakeholders from the three regions involved in the implementation and promotion of the Erasmus+ programme, such as the Erasmus+ National Focal Pints from Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East, Erasmus+ National Agencies and Delegations of the European Union to the regions. Asst. Prof. Dr. Li Liang from Thammasat University and Dr. Chris Dae-Yun Kim from Kasetsart University attended this event on behalf of the THE-GLOW team.
