ACCESS4ALL & THE-GLOW Learning Session: Piloting Experiences and Curricula Development for Transdisciplinary & Climate Change Education

The learning session brought together faculty members from two initiatives, ACCESS4ALL and Transdisciplinary Higher Education for Global Wellbeing (THE-GLOW), to share their practical experiences, how they navigate challenges, and the lessons learned.

Faculty from Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) discussed their journey in developing new courses that integrate climate change topics with inclusivity principles and the necessary institutional adaptations. Faculty from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) shared their experiences with these educational approaches, including real-world challenges, successes, insights into student engagement, learning outcomes, and lessons for scaling these initiatives. Faculty from the THE-GLOW project shared their experiences in transdisciplinary (TD) education, including best practices for designing transdisciplinary courses, as well as key findings, challenges, and success stories from their mid-term evaluation.

Participants from both projects highlighted their strong synergies and emphasised the importance of nurturing South-to-South learning collaborations to propel innovation in higher education.
