“Transdisciplinary Approach to Health and Well-Being” course was successfully run with the goal of equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of the transdisciplinary (TD) approach to health and wellbeing, specifically aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3). Throughout the course, students engaged in the analysis of complex health issues using diverse information sources and applied inclusive, participatory methods to devise sustainable solutions for well-being.
A key focus was placed on examining the interactions between health, climate change, and social drivers of wellbeing. By exploring and applying TD perspectives to a climate change and health case study, students were exposed to real-life scenarios and various stakeholders, allowing them to effectively unpack and address complex problems.
The course emphasized the importance of critical reflection on relevant social, environmental, and public health factors. This reflection was essential for students to consider when designing transformative interventions for sustainable development. The hands-on experience with real-world cases and the interaction with diverse stakeholders provided a rich learning environment that fostered the development of innovative, sustainable solutions for health and wellbeing.
